More good work carried out on the Innertube this week, this time by a team from the Bike Station, who spent a few hours hard work under the supervision of ELGT’s Esperanza Martin Gil. Working in sub zero conditions (well, a mild frost!), the team focussed on clearing compacted leaves and vegetation from the path edges, which had made some areas quite treacherous, as well making the usable path surface much wider.
The team also hacked back vegetation beyond the path edges, increasing visibility, making it safer and more open – and generally much tidier! Thanks to the Bike Station team – a very hard working bunch!
More conservation activities coming soon from the Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust, taking advantage of the winter months to carry out tree work and vegetation clearance.
