SEStran is proud to sponsor the Edinburgh City Cycleways Innertube map student edition. This handy guide offers a comprehensive and easy-to-understand schematic guide to the city’s off-street cycle paths.
Promoting cycling for all is a key part of SEStran’s strategy to build a sustainable transportation system for South East Scotland. Cycling is a fast, easy and environmentally-sound method of transportation. It helps take cars off the roads, helps reduce congestion and makes a significant contribution towards reducing the region’s carbon footprint. It is also an excellent form of exercise that contributes towards improved public health; perhaps more importantly, it’s fun and a great way to get around.
The Innertube map will help cyclists make the most of Edinburgh’s network of continuous, off-street, traffic-free paths. These are handy for crossing town in a hurry in the safest possible way, whether for work or leisure, and are ideal routes on which novice cyclists, can find their feet, free from the need to deal with traffic on the cities busy roads.
The popularity of the first edition of the map showed that it filled a pressing need. It has now become a must-have accessory for anyone cycling in Edinburgh
