This Sunday, the Water of Leith Conservation Trust are looking for volunteers to join their Leith Biodiversity Boost to plant bulbs along the path along the Water of Leith path at Coburg Street.
In March ‘£eith Decided’ on this project and they were awarded just over £1,000 to improve the biodiversity of the neglected corner of woodland and greenspace in the triangle created by the river, Great Junction Street and Coburg St.
The site has already been tidied up, hundreds of wildflower plugs planted and now they are ready to plant blubs and more plants ready for next spring…can you help?
Meet in the small car park by the river off Coburg st (near the Water of Leith Bistro)
Please come along at 10.00am prompt for the safety briefing and instruction, wear old clothes, gloves and if you have one please bring a trowel.
Call the Water of Leith Conservation Trust on 0131 455 7367 for more details or email firstname.lastname@example.org. This is a partnership project with City of Edinburgh Council Natural Heritage Service, funded by £eith Decides
